SAN DIEGO’S NEWEST HOME FOR LIVE MUSIC
Live Nation is planning a new 4,000-capacity indoor music venue in San Diego’s East Village, just blocks from Petco Park. The project will transform the historic Wonder Bread building into a purpose-built destination for live music, restoring a landmark property and filling a gap in San Diego’s live music landscape.

MORE MUSIC FOR SAN DIEGO
The new venue:
- Gives artists a purpose-built downtown stage
- Fills a capacity currently missing from the market
- Creates a new option for artists and fans

HONORING A SAN DIEGO LANDMARK
The historic Wonder Bread building has long been a distinctive part of San Diego’s East Village. The project will preserve and reimagine the building for a new generation, bringing live music inside while keeping the character that makes the property special.
- Defining features like the red brick façade, silo and wood barrel roof will be restored and highlighted.
- The design is led by Blueprint Studio, Live Nation’s in-house venue design and development group, in collaboration with Gensler.

A VENUE BUILT FOR ARTISTS + FANS
The venue is being designed specifically for live music, with:
- High-quality acoustics, with sound contained inside
- Clear sightlines
- Modern fan amenities and lounge spaces
- Comfortable backstage facilities for touring artists and crews
- Space for private, corporate and community events

AN INVESTMENT IN SAN DIEGO
The venue will:
- Generate $97M in annual economic impact
- Welcome 316K fans each year including 126K from outside the San Diego metro area
- Support 660 jobs through the venue and related economic activity
- Contribute nearly $13M in state and local tax revenue
A THOUGHTFUL DOWNTOWN NEIGHBOR
Live Nation will work with the City, community stakeholders and local partners to responsibly manage venue operations:
- Traffic and event planning designed to minimize neighborhood impacts
- Active communications directing fans to transportation and parking options
- Modern sound engineering designed to keep great sound inside the venue
- Ongoing community engagement as plans move forward
